Live Earth burst on the scene in 2007 with its "Concerts for a Climate in Crisis" -- the largest global entertainment event in history. Now Live Earth is creating The Dow Live Earth Run for Water on April 18, 2010. The Run for Water will consist of a series of 6 km run/walks (the average distance many women and children walk every day to secure water) taking place over the course of 24 hours in countries around the world, featuring concerts and water education activities aimed at helping to solve the water crisis. Live Earth is proud to partner with Wasrag (the Water & Sanitation Rotarian Action Group) and invites Rotary Clubs everywhere to be part of this global water event. How can your club get involved?
• Create a local run/walk or other type of event on or around April 18th 2010 to raise awareness and raise funds for water projects. Click here to find out how to host a local event (even planning guide) and click here to register your local event.
• Donate to support water projects in the developing world.

• Sign up to receive more information about what will happen in your area.
We're inviting Rotary Clubs to participate in planned walk/runs, or to be part of Friends of Live Earth. Friends of Live Earth gives Rotary Clubs the opportunity to host small or large, public or private events. Once you register an event, you'll receive a toolkit which will help you host a great event: event ideas, videos, "green" guidelines, planning checklists, and a way to invite your guests online.
You'll also be invited to join the Friends of Live Earth social network where you'll get regular updates and additional materials (including films and logos) for use at your event.
