Rotaract and the Peace on the Balkans

Dear Rotaract friends from the Balkans,*

We, from District 2482 – Bulgaria, have the pleasure to invite you to an event that will take place on *27-29 May 2011 in Bulgaria*.
Following the example of our Rotarians, we want to organize a meeting under the motto *“Rotaract and the Peace on the Balkans”*. This meeting will give the opportunity to Balkan Rotaractors to meet, discuss and blend ideas for promoting the peace on our part of the European continent that has been for many years
the scene of separation and diverse opinions.

This symbolic event would show that we, the young generation, can work together in a friendly atmosphere, for a better future and a peaceful environment despite the differences.

Here we will be able to underline our common views and put them into action later on in our everyday life. We have much more in common than differences, and this is the occasion to prove it.

With this event, we want to demonstrate our modest contribution to this year’s RI slogan “Building communities, bridging continents”. The informal atmosphere that we are planning for this meeting should help us come up with ideas that will make even stronger the friendship between the Balkan countries.

With this reunion, we hope that the city of Gabrovo will become not only the center of Bulgaria but also, for a couple of days’ time, the Peace capital of the Balkan Peninsula, thanks to us all. Join us in order to demonstrate that Rotaractors are progressive thinkers and show our willingness to make the world a more peaceful place to live.
